Comparing supplier connectors by supported workflows
Compare DSers, Syncee and Spocket by product mapping, supplier order placement, payment, tracking and the manual steps each workflow leaves.
Compare supplier connectors against the same product and order. Check what each imports, updates and sends to the supplier, then identify every merchant action it leaves. Product import or store-order sync does not establish automatic supplier-order placement.
Compare the same route
Choose a supplier SKU, store variant and Australian delivery destination. For each connector, record whether the relevant plan and configuration support variant mapping, stock and price updates, store-order receipt, supplier-order submission, payment, tracking and a visible failure state.
| Connector | Documented workflow | Limit to check |
|---|---|---|
| DSers | Maps store variants to supplier items and supports several sourcing routes. | AliExpress placement and payment are manual in its documented flow; optional automatic placement is described for configured Alibaba and Agent routes. |
| Syncee | Its Marketplace feature lists automatic product uploads and updates, order tracking options and automatic order synchronisation; its Shopify guide includes a section on managing and paying for orders. | The supplied excerpts do not set out the full sequence for order placement, payment or tracking sync; treat payment and supplier handoff as unconfirmed. Its separate DataFeed Manager does not establish the same marketplace order flow. |
| Spocket | Receives store orders in its Orders tab for merchant processing. | The merchant checks out and places the supplier order in Spocket. |
This compares provider documentation, not service quality, Australian supplier coverage or a tested account. Verify the selected supplier, destination, plan and settings.

DSers: check mapping and the sourcing route
DSers says a broken link between a store variant and supplier option can stop price and inventory updates and prevent supplier-order placement. Inspect that mapping before relying on an order flow.
For AliExpress, DSers documents merchant placement and payment followed by tracking sync after the supplier ships. It describes an automatic inventory-update setting as paid and says it does not apply to certain multi-supplier mappings. Check the plan and mapping used for the products under consideration; tracking automation does not make supplier checkout automatic.
Syncee: separate the marketplace from external feeds
Syncee’s documentation separates the Marketplace, for suppliers listed in Syncee, from the DataFeed Manager, for external suppliers outside its listed partners. For the Marketplace, it lists automatic product uploads and updates, order tracking options and automatic order synchronisation. Its Shopify guide also includes a section on managing and paying for orders; the supplied excerpts do not set out the full sequence for order placement, payment or tracking sync.
Syncee’s DataFeed Manager handles product data from suppliers outside its marketplace. Its documentation lists product-feed functions, not an equivalent marketplace order flow. Check any external supplier’s actual ordering arrangement and shipping terms for Australian destinations.
Spocket: account for merchant checkout
Spocket says store orders appear in its Orders tab. The merchant selects Checkout, reviews generated shipping and transaction fees, and selects Place Order.
Spocket warns against using Shopify’s Request Fulfilment or Mark as Fulfilled buttons for this process because they can cause sync issues. Staff need to know that an order visible in Spocket still awaits their action.
Decide from the remaining work
Mark each required step supported and configured, requires a person or unconfirmed. Give a person ownership of manual steps and failures.
If a supplier reference or export field needed for a later move is unavailable, decide how the store will retain that information. Check the proposed route with a controlled order before relying on it for ordinary sales.
Order Fulfilment Workflow Steps by Connector
- DSers: AliExpress Route1. Map store variant to supplier item 2. Manual order placement and payment 3. Track after supplier ships 4. Update tracking in store
- Syncee: Marketplace Route1. Automatic product upload 2. Order sync to marketplace 3. Manage and pay for order manually 4. Track via sync (unconfirmed flow)
